Routine Dental Appointment

At your routine check–up appointment, your dentist will enquire about any queries or any particular concern you have.

Routine dental check-ups involve updating your medical and dental history, a check of all the soft tissues in your mouth including oral cancer screening.

Examining all your teeth, fillings, crowns & bridges, if there are in good state and if any developments have occurred. Radiographs may also be taken only if required.

Early Detection. Regular dental appointments will allow your dentist to catch any problems with your teeth and gums early and provide treatment before their  health is affected and your smile compromised. You’ll require less dental work later on if you have your teeth examined by your general dentist every six months. Small cavities can be fixed easily, before the tooth is damaged beyond repair, if they are detected  before they progress..

Disease Prevention. Gum disease is a serious problem if not treated in early stages can cause tooth loss. Gum disease can increase your risk of heart disease and other ailments. With regular dental check-ups, gum disease can be kept in control and also cured.

Education. When you go to routine dental appointments, you’re not only protecting your smile, but you’re also setting stage for your children. When kids see their parents go to the dentist twice a year, they will be more likely to go to the dentist themselves.

Don’t forget to take your child to a dentist and get those good habits started early!

Following your dental check-up, your dentist will give you a summary of his findings and answer any questions that you may have. The dentist should be able to give you a rough idea of how many appointments you will require and estimate a cost for your treatment if you need any.
